SPOILER ALERT! There are spoilers for Thor 2: THe Dark World from 22:35 to 43:29
In this episode, Maggie's Pfeiffer Scarf is well under way, particularly because it's the only thing she's working on. Karen, meanwhile, has ALL THE PROJECTS including her Ejafjallyjokull shawl, which only has a few more rows to go before the epic crochet chain-scallop cast off. Of course this means she's also more than tempted to start more projects, especially as she's finished her Weeping Angel socks. Next up is a Bigger on the Inside shawl, and there has been casting on of another twisted stitch cabled sock. Oh and there's also the sweater sleeves on the go, but meh.
In Geek Squee, there's LOTS of Doctor Who stuff out with the 50th Anniversary coming up, and oh my god you guys if you like Doctor Who and haven't seen Night of the Doctor go watch it, and Karen's not just saying that because she's turned into a fangirl for a certain doctor. There's also the Whovian version of the Bayeux Tapestry, WANT. OF course we also went to see Thor 2, and have feelings about it. :D Lots and lots and lots of feelings. And in related news, you guys really need to listen to the Nerdist podcast from the week pre-Thor's release with Clark Gregg (COULSOOOOONNNN!), Tom Hiddleston and Keven Feige. And there's also the story of the best Make a Wish Foundation gift ever. If you look up photos, be sure to have tissues handy.
In Cravings, Covets and Crushes, the holidays are getting closer and we have some...interesting gift ideas. For instance, there's somemore Doctor Who in the form of the Wibbly Wobbly Mittley Wittley mittens, and the Gallifrey fingerless mitts. And then there's...a TARDIS onesie. For adults. Officially licensed, too. I don't even know, guys.
TARDIS sound effects are from YouTube user covausk3.
Time is ticking away for the Hobbitalong Part 2: The Desolation of Swatch! There's no required pattern or yarn, just the goal of completing a project of your choice before The Hobbit Part 2: The Desolation of Smaug opens in theatres on December 13th (or whenever you'll get to see it).
